Whiteways of Waunfawr

The sight of Mr "Billy" Williams in his well worn three piece suite and black bowler hat was as much a part of life in Waunfaur near Caernarfon as his small coach operation famous for its basic white livery was throughout North Wales. And then the memories of Bob "the bws" Owen , one of Mr Williams drivers, who was a character in his own rights.    He  used  to  entertain  the  locals  and  visitors  with his  singing  as  he  drove  back  and  forward to  Caernarfon.  Happy Memories......

Two of Whiteways Bedford OB 29 seat Duple bodies coaches seen outside the garage, sadly now being sold off for housing plots, another piece of our transport heritage gone forever, but not forgotten. Both these Bedfords have survived  LTT 913  which was new to Sunbeam Coaches on Torquay  in 1949 is now part of Bart Kearney´s Muaseum collection at Hepworth near Diss and ACC 883 is now with Mr Horsham of Harold Hill
