In the second of our Photo Files, we turn the spotlight on Richard Field whose transport photos and name are known to many, but it is just a name until now.
Richard is 51 years young and hailes from Britton Ferry where he lives with his good wife Laura and they celebrated their 21st wedding anniversay on January 11th 2007. There daughter Charlotte is currently in university.
Richard is a L.G.V. driver for thirty years having passed his H.G.V. driving test in September 1977.
Photo Equipment. Keeping up with the times, Richard moved to a Olympus E500 SLR in late 2005from his He also has a handy Fujiprevious Minolta x300 35 mm SLR camera, and the first 35mm SLR I purchased was an Olympus OM10. He also has a Fuji Finepix F410 digital as a backup camera.
Buses have been Richards interest from the days of the old Western Welsh garage in Neath as did South Wales Transport, United Welsh and N & C Express, all now confined to history, but thankfully Richard started recording their presence at first locally and then further afield in the late 1970's.
We will be adding many of Richards photos here over the coming months and of course you can also view them throughout the website. You can also visit Richard's Bus Photos fotopic Website.
