Morlais Services were based in Trevethick Street, Merthyr Tydfil.

A former Southdown Leyland TS8 fleet no. 857(LCD 857) rebuilt with a  Beadle  centre entrance coach body in May 1952  Chassis rebuilt from 1196: EUF 96. Renumbered 1457 12/59. The coach was purchased in 1963.

A rare purchase was the popular 1950's Duple coach body mounted on a Leyland Tiger chassis instead of the normal Bedford SB.
